Curbkeeper

Terms of service

Last updated October 2026. Plain-language terms; have them reviewed by a lawyer for each province before launch.

1. What we do

Curbkeeper moves your waste carts from the spot you tell us to the curb before your municipality’s collection, and back after. We do not collect waste. We follow your municipality’s placement rules; where they conflict with your preference, the rules win.

2. Plans, trial and billing

Plans are priced per property per month in Canadian dollars, plus applicable GST/HST/QST, as shown before you pay. Your first 14 days are free, counted from your first scheduled service. After the trial your card is charged monthly in advance through Stripe. Where we have not yet assigned a Keeper to your area, your subscription is a free reservation and nothing is charged until you confirm a payment link we send you.

3. Cancelling and pausing

Cancel at any time from your account. Service continues to the end of the paid month and no further charges are made; we do not refund partial months but we never require notice. You may skip individual collections or pause your plan; paused months are not billed.

4. Your responsibilities

Keep your address, collection days, cart details and access information accurate. Keep the path to the carts reasonably clear and safe (for example, cleared of deep snow and ice where that is your responsibility). Carts must be municipal-standard wheeled carts or bins that one person can safely move; we may decline overfull, damaged or hazardous carts and will tell you why.

5. Missed or incomplete service

If we miss a scheduled visit, tell us and that visit is free. If we could not complete a visit because of something at the property (locked gate, missing cart, blocked path), we will tell you with a photo and the visit counts as performed. Our liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.

6. Access codes and photos

Access codes you give us are encrypted and shown to your assigned Keeper only on service day. Photos of your carts are stored privately and shared with you through expiring links. See our privacy notice.

7. Changes

We may change prices with 30 days’ notice by email; you can cancel before the change takes effect. We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the province where the serviced property is located and the federal laws of Canada. Nothing here limits consumer rights you have under provincial law. Contact: hello@curbkeeper.ca.
